What’s the difference between an Eau de Toilette and an Eau de Parfum?
Compared to eau de toilette, eau de parfum is another interpretation of the olfactory story, one that is more intense and for which the perfumer will emphasize certain facets of the composition.
Each eau de toilette sublimates the best natural raw materials. Neither masculine nor feminine, it defies all attempts at gender categorization and can be worn freely by anyone. Each owes its singular nature to the whimsy of an unexpected accord that shakes up its composition and makes it unique. Spray generously in a large V pattern from the left shoulder to the décolleté and then on to the right shoulder.
The eau de parfum is not an eau de toilette with a higher concentration of essences. It is a more intense but also different interpretation of the olfactory story. The perfumer highlights one of its character traits using new ingredients or a new accord while remaining faithful to the original story. For an intense trail, try spraying the inside of your jacket as well as accessories such as scarves.
Do Son, for example, is an eau de toilette that exudes the freshness, intoxication and voluptuousness of tuberose. To portray the freshness of the water droplets, the perfumer has grafted a fiery, joyful spice, pink pepper, onto sambac jasmine to give it an orangey freshness. The Eau de parfum is a headier fragrance, with creamy, slightly milky facets. It represents an invitation to discover the very heart of the flower.
